Designed in Brooklyn, Made in America
Podium (raised $18m Series A) builds industrial control panels out of Brooklyn, faster and to a higher standard than their competition. We spent time on their factory floor to see it firsthand. The equipment, the process, the team.
What we found was a company operating miles ahead of its category, ready for a rebrand.

Schematics as foundations
Most rebrands borrow inspiration from outside the industry. Podium didn't need that. The answer was already on the factory floor. Circuits, wiring schematics, technical drawings, and the control panels themselves. We built the identity straight from those forms, so the brand speaks the same language as the product.
Lastly, we chose a bold color. Yellow as a brand color is less common in their industry. That decision made Podium hard to forget. Strangers stopped at their event booths just to compliment the new look.

Making the control panels shine
We took their hardware CAD files and meticulously traced them by hand - hours of manual work to get every line right. The resulting drawings now run across the site and on team swag. The product literally became the artwork.
Podium was already the best at what they do. Now they finally look like it. Sometimes the most valuable thing a brand can do is get out of the way of a great company and let the work speak.

PS. Village Global Retreat
We were invited to the Village Global annual retreat!
Best part was the people. We met founders and partners from across the portfolio and had conversations that went well beyond design - from growth strategies to executive hiring to where the industry is headed.
We came back with fresh ideas and new friends. We're also running design office hours for Village Global founders. They've truly built an incredible community.
